The Role
You turn financial and operational data into insight for practice management, the Management Board and the investor. The goal is timely, accurate and consistent figures that people actually use to make decisions, in line with the group reporting calendar.
You report to the FP&A Lead and work with a wide range of stakeholders: Group Finance & Control, Hiyv management and the finance team, the Management Board, practice CEOs, practice finance leads and controllers, KPI product owners and the Business Intelligence / Data team. Through Group Finance, your work also feeds into reporting for the investor, the lenders and the external auditors.
Your first assignment is the Group KPI Programme, where you help define, map, and build the group’s KPI reporting. After that, the role continues within the FP&A team.
What you will do
Planning & forecasting
- Owning the budget and forecast of Hiyv (P&L, cash flow and KPIs): this is the core of the role
- Collecting and challenging input from the practices and consolidating it into the group budget and forecast
- Keeping forecasts consistent with actuals, orderbook and pipeline
- Driver-based models and scenarios: a strong plus
Reporting & analysis
- Owning the monthly management reporting of Hiyv (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and KPIs)
- Variance analysis (actual vs. budget, forecast and prior year): explaining the underlying drivers, not just the numbers
- Writing concise commentary and supporting the group monthly reporting cycle
Group KPI Programme (initial assignment)
- Documenting and aligning group KPI definitions with the group product owners and the practice KPI leads
- Mapping data sources and calculation logic per KPI and per practice, and identifying gaps and inconsistencies
- Building and testing the initial KPI reporting, and tracking programme actions and progress
- Embedding the KPI reporting in the regular monthly FP&A cycle
Business partnering & ad-hoc analysis
- Ad-hoc analyses on margin, utilisation and cost
- Supporting business cases with practice management; for more senior profiles, this includes investment analyses such as the integration of acquisitions
Data, tooling & process
- Data quality and reconciliation of reporting with the general ledger: non-negotiable
- Automating recurring reports and analyses in Excel
- Documenting models, KPI definitions and reporting processes so they are transferable and auditable
- Maintaining the planning and reporting calendar and monitoring that the practices deliver their input on time
What are we looking for
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or Econometrics.
- You have 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, control or audit. We are also open to more junior or more senior profiles and will match the scope of the role to your experience.
- You have hands-on experience with management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and a working knowledge of consolidation.
- You have a solid understanding of accounting: P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
- You have advanced Excel skills and you automate rather than repeat.
- Experience with investor or lender reporting is a plus.
- You can run a workstream with several stakeholders, keep track of the planning and escalate issues in time.
- You are fluent in English.
Personality and ways of working
- Analytical and accurate: you trust the numbers only after you have checked them.
- Organised and results-oriented: you deliver on time, even during busy close periods.
- A clear communicator who can explain the story behind the figures to non-finance people.
- Curious and quick to learn, with a feel for how the organisation works.
Location
Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a full-time role with a hybrid working model.
